Haley + Cole came to us with a not-so-uncommon problem when you’re living in a New York City apartment - a small, underutilized corner that had both massive potential and a handful of design challenges.
Perfect for a banquette, this space was home to a low, long windowsill that stood in the way of creating functional seating to pair with their antique, heirloom table.
We met with Haley + Cole for an in-home consultation where we took precise measurements, got a better sense of their style and talked about what’s important to them when it comes to design and function.
From there and without sacrificing comfort or aesthetics, we designed a custom L-shaped banquette that seamlessly integrated their windowsill allowing the space to feel intentional rather than limiting.
Versatility in furniture is key when considering sustainability, and while this banquette was designed around a low-lying windowsill, it was important for us to consider how these benches would function in Haley + Cole’s next place.
We outfitted each of the benches with detachable, self-storing feet so they can stand freely and feel at home in any corner.
Brandon + Casey are creators at heart.
They joined forces in 2018 with a desire to pay homage to nature while designing and building custom furniture.
They've since expanded their body of work from dining tables to banquettes, consoles, studio desks and more.
